Pamban Swamigal temple

Pamban Swamigal was born in the year 1848 to a saivite family in a village called Pamban near Rameswaram. The child was named appavu, but later known as pamban swamigal. He was a devotee of Lord Muruga and a great saint. This pious seer is considered, to be one of the siddhas of later Tamil tradition. His Samadhi temple is located in Thiruvanmiyur (near bus stand), 13 Km. from Chennai.This temple in Chennai is well visited by lot of tourists/pilgrims from all over the world.
