Madhya kailash temple Madhya kailash temple is one of the recently built Hindu temple in Adyar ,chennai. This temple has many specialities. This is the only temple in tamilnadu built according to the Ganapatym cult,one among the five cults mentioned by Adi Shankara.

The main deity is Venkata Ananda Vinayakar.Sun rays fall on the presiding deity on Vinayaka Chaturthi day,which is considered very auspicious. Every visitor is attracted by the 8 bells that are installed here. These bells represent seven musical notes Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da, Ni, Sa.

Madhya Kailash temple has become popular for its unique idol of 'Adhyantha Prabhu',which is part vinayaka and part Anjaneya. The right part of the idol is Ganapathy and left part of the idol is Lord Hanuman. Devotees can light the camphor to this deity themselves. This temple is one of the travel attractions of Chennai City and visited by lot of tourists and locals every day.
